Mug — Painted Heart

Description

Bring a warm, playful detail to your morning coffee ritual. Individually thrown on the potter’s wheel using rich speckled clay, this mug is decorated with a soft, hand-painted heart emblem on the outer body. As the piece is fired, the painted heart melts softly into the surrounding glaze, creating a subtle, watercolour-like blush with delicate hints of lilac and pale blue.

The semi-matte white glaze breaks naturally along the rim and outer contours, exposing the toasted iron flecks of the raw clay body. Designed for comfortable daily holding, the handle features a smooth curve, while the lower foot ring is left unglazed to showcase the grounded, tactile clay.

Each piece is individually wheel-thrown, hand-painted, and glazed in my studio. Natural variations in glaze breaking, heart definition, and tone shifts occur organically during high-firing, making every mug uniquely one-of-a-kind.

Dimensions & Care

• Dimensions: Approximately 9 cm to 10 cm height; capacity approx. 300 ml to 350 ml (sizes vary slightly per batch).

• Care Instructions: Food, liquid, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve glaze lustre over time.
