Mug — Te Aumiti

Description

Bring the grounded, serene movement of coastal waters to your morning coffee. Individually thrown on the potter’s wheel using rich red clay, this piece features a multi-layered glaze combination that reacts and flows organically during high-firing. Soft atmospheric blue and frothy sea-white tones blend naturally across the flared walls, creating an impression of surf meeting the shoreline.

Designed for comfortable daily holding, the lower portion exposes the raw, unglazed red clay to showcase its warm, earthy texture. Tucked neatly below the hand-formed handle join is my signature hand-stamped flower detail, creating a subtle mark of artisan craftsmanship.

Note on Handcrafted Variations

Each piece is individually wheel-thrown and glazed by hand in my studio. Natural variations in glaze flow, drip length, and clay tone occur organically during firing, making every mug uniquely one-of-a-kind.

Dimensions & Care

• Dimensions: Approximately 9 cm to 10 cm height; capacity approx. 300 ml to 350 ml (sizes vary slightly per batch).

• Care Instructions: Food, liquid, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Hand washing is recommended to preserve glaze lustre over time.
